The Show That Just Wont End

Certain shows you want to just never end. You want to continue to grow up with these people as sort of an extension to your own family. Step-by-Step and Family Matters are the functional family that was just like yours, only more funny for 30 min a week. And then there were gems, like The Simpsons and Friends. Between the two of them, you could sit in your room and feel like you've met with all your family, and socialized with all your long lost buddies. It's a wonderful thing.

Some shows you think, "How on earth is this still on." After more than a decade, certain shows (you know, the ones that are the punchlines of a joke) just seem to not realize that maybe when it gets bad and nobody watches you anymore, that you should just quit while your ahead. One such show would be America's Funniest Home Video. Yes, it is still on. Don't ask me when, I couldn't bring myself to look it up. They've gone though 400 hosts, give or take a few and they just wont stop. What would it take. The promised america the funniest home video and they wont stop until they reach that goal. Until they have america rolling in their seats. Something so funny, that by watching it might actually cause physical harm to a viewer. And if that's the case and my life is in danger of watching such video, maybe I'll pass on that. I'll just go and get the Friends: Second Season on DVD instead. Funny, but wont actually harm me in any way.
